About Evangelistic Restoration Church

On June 30, 1997, a special meeting was called for the purpose of organizing a new ministry. The meeting was held at Trinity Fellowship Baptist Church located at 6935 Bellfort in Houston, Texas at 7:00 p.m. This new ministry was birthed from the vision of God by the direction of His Holy Spirit and breathed life into it on this day.

Pastor Gary Scott of Trinity Fellowship was Moderator of this organizational meeting and came forth with instruction and exhortations to this mission body and after several questions was posed to the body a name was needed. The selected name was “Evangelistic Restoration Church” publicly, socially, and spiritually referred to as E.R.C. Application for Church Membership cards were passed out to all those persons present that desired membership in Evangelistic Restoration Church and at 7:48 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 1997 this mission body was birthed into a church. After roll call was made, 73 persons with nine candidates for baptism were seeking membership as the founding members of Evangelistic Restoration Church.
